Hoshino Resorts Kai Atami - Atami (Shizuoka)

The location was fantastic! Being able to sit on the enclosed balcony and listen to the sounds of nature was just perfect. The complimentary drinks and snacks on the terrace were a nice touch too. The service was great and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming.

Getting to some of the areas like the public onsen and the bar required a lot of stairs, which may not be suitable for everyone. The entrance to the hotel was on a sharply curved road, so it's important to take caution when driving.

The location of this traditional ryokan was perfect for a weekend getaway. the view of the ocean was breathtaking and the sound of the waves was very relaxing. the staff was very friendly and accommodating. the onsen was very clean and had amazing views. They offer complimentary drinks and snacks throughout the day which was a nice touch.

The stairs to get to some of the facilities were quite steep, which made it difficult for older guests or those with mobility issues. the traditional dinner was not suited to my taste buds, but they had Western-style options available upon request.

The location is peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle. Guests appreciate the relaxing view of Sagami Bay from their rooms, and the sound of birds and ocean waves create a calming atmosphere. the service is outstanding, with friendly and helpful staff. Guests can enjoy complimentary drinks and snacks on the terrace, and there are separate living areas and bedrooms in the junior suite rooms.

The hotel does not offer complimentary transport to/from the train station or main town.
